Why did you decide to become a Qualified Accountant?
When I was 10 years old, I decided to be either an accountant or an archaeologist because my interests were to understand the economic aspect of the world and to learn about the past. I ended up with economy and law because an archaeologist was not well paid at all. 😊 During my education I discovered that tax and legal was very interesting and went for a combination of the two disciplines.
Which legal areas do you specialise in?
Mainly tax, VAT and labour law related to global activity for companies and individuals. The major disciplines are within oil/gas and construction.
What are you passionate about (work related)?
I’m passionate about learning, expanding my knowledge and keeping existing knowledge up to date. Investigate complex cases, analyse, learn, and debate. The inspiration and pleasure that keeps the passion alive is that I have great colleagues who I’m allowed to learn from, and debate with at a daily basis. The knowledge presented by the team and the enthusiasm from the team inspire me to learn more, contribute more and be at service. It is a pleasure to be at service for the companies and people out there who can benefit from my knowledge.
What was the most interesting thing that happened at work this week?
Onboarding a new client who has a difficult and complex tax situation. Deep knowledge within international tax and legal is required to address the case and solve the problem. When the client communicates great pleasure and is very happy with the services provided, it makes a prefect week.
What do you like about Magnus Legal?
The best thing about Magnus Legal is the great people on the team. Each and every one of my colleagues makes a difference and contribute to a perfect team of knowledge, personality, and team spirit. It is a pleasure to be a part of a team consisting of individuals with a high level of knowledge and in addition every single one of them care about their colleagues. This is unique for Magnus Legal, and it is why we are able to serve the clients at a very high level of knowledge.
What is your favourite activity outside work?
I just love the sea, the mountains, and my bike. The perfect day off is some hours at sea with a fish-pole, great music and good friends. A perfect weekend off includes a nice hike at the mountains. The perfect week off is a bike trip including camping. 🚲🎣🏕️😄
